The 2013 Francais de Jeux team kit still revolves around the main title sponsor Francais de Jeux who run the national lottery in France. They use the french tricolour as a colour palette in various combinations. This season the jersey is predominantly white based with mostly blue detailing on the side panels of the jersey, sleeve ends and collar. The FDJ name and clover logo take centre stage in the front, shoulders and back of the jersey, as well as on the sides of the bibshorts which are blue based. To round out the French Tricolour palette there are lines of red on the sleeves of the jersey and down the side panells of the jersey and the bibshorts along with a red coloured detail on the FDJ clover.
As in most designs in the peloton the main sponsor logos are placed ont he upper chest above the main sponsors' logo. The bike supplier, Lapierre, the kit provider BTwin and the UCI logo are located here on a white background. The blue colouring on the kit is not simply solid blue. Light and dark shades give a dimension of depth to the design and a level of interest.
This season FDJ provided a Tour de France kit which kept the basic design elements but inverted the body and side panel colours of the jersey making the jersey blue with white side panels. The bibshorts were also blue with white bands around the legs.
we really liked the look of the all blue kit. Maybe in the future we will see an itteration that is predominantly red.
