About the Mountain
Jebel Hafeet is Abu Dhabi's highest peak at 1240m and overlooks Al Ain. The road leading to the summit is a fantastic snake of black asphalt stretched out on the mountain. At the foot of the mountain is Jebel Park and at the summit there is a lookout with ample parking and seating. The views of Al Ain are spectacular and are a good reward for your climbing efforts.
The most difficult aspect of this climb, apart from the gradient, is the heat. Riders tackling this climb would be very wise to consider the time of year as well as the time of day that the ascent is attempted. The Emirates can reach temperatures above 45 degrees at times and for safety, please ensure you are sufficiently hydrated and that you have access to a water/liquid supply before, during and after the ascent. The easiest way to reach the mountain is by car.
More than 500 ancient burial tombs which date back 5,000 years have been found in the Jebel Hafeet foothills
