About the design
The 2014 FDJ kit is still dominated by the main sponsors Francais de Jeux branding and colour palette but for the 2014 kit the designers opted for a blue base rather than the white base colour. The colour palette is still the French colours blue, white and red.
The jersey and bibshorts were blue with the jersey having a white collar, red and white bands around the sleeve and leg ends. The side of the jersey has white vertical stripes down the sides with a thinner red vertical stripe. The FDJ logo was rendered all over the jersey on the chest, on the shoulders, on the collar, down the side and as a watermark in lighter blue on the bottom of the jersey. The bibshorts have the FDJ logo and clover on the front, sides and back of the bibshorts.
The bike sponsors lapierre is rendered on the bibshorts and on the upper chest of the jersey.
The blue base colour worked very well with the red and white details.
