About the Design
The 2014 Giant Shimano team was born from the Argos Shimano team of 2013. The Argos Shimano kit was largely white but the 2014 Giant Shimano kit introduced design elements that gave the kit a strong brand image and racing feel. The white colour was kept but this was complemented by black and blue.
The two black lines down the middle of the jesrey front and back, punctuated by the main sponsors in the middle broke up the large white panels very well adding a motor racing design feel.
Bands of blue were added to the sleeves and legs which gave a interesting detail that broke up the black and white colouring. The black shoulders also helped frame the white torso of the jersey. The bibshorts were largely black with white side panels which also helped to draw the eye to, and frame, the white torso area of the jersey.
This design was very simple but this is where its strength lay.
