2014 marked the beginning of using the base red colour for the Lotto Belisol kit which would be used up to the latest 2017 version of the the team's kit.
The basis for the design was a solid red coloured jersey. A white panel adorned the centre front of the jersey with the main sponsors names in large plain font black lettering. This gave the kit a somewhat retro classic feel to it. The Belgain colours were replicated in a thin band around the right sleeve and vertically in stripes running down the entire back length of the jersey and in a band around one leg of the bibshorts.
Another interesting design feature was slogan, "live your dream" which was written vertically next to the belgian vertical stripes. The mmain sponsor's names were replicated in smaller lettering on the rear of the jersey. Other sponsors logos were replicated in the standard location of the upper front chest of the jersey. The bibshorts were largely black in colour.
The plain font used for the main sponsors on the front of the kit gives this a classic feel even although the design is new for this team. We are not sure if this was intentional or an accidental by-product of using the style of font. The use of a red base colour with minimal belgian colour detailing does make this a strong design and a big departure from the previous version.
