About the Design
In 2014 the Trek Factory Racing team emerged from what was Radioshack Nissan Trek. Trek was the main and only main sponsor for this season.
For 2014 and to mark the new team, Trek Factory Racing introduced a new design and colour scheme. The colour palette was black and white with small touches of red. Two design concepts were introduced for this season's kit. The first was the use of pin stripes on the kit. This feature has become a team trademark. Secondly only one white sleeve was introduced. This was a bold design move and a bit unconventional. The sponsors were rendered in white on the black background or in black when on the white sleeve. The Trek logo added a red detail which really popped on the black and white kit.
This design used a strong colour palette and innovative design elements, that depending on your taste, may or may not have worked. This kit was a first iteration of what has become one of the strongest and best kits in the peloton.
