About the Design
In the 2016 season the Tinkoff Saxo team became Team Tinkoff. This was reflected in the kit by having the Tinkoff Bank crest prominently on the front and back of the kit. The other main sponsors have their logos displayed ont he upper chest part of the jersey. The fluro colouring was continued in the 2016 season but the blue used previously was replaced by a light grey colour. The kit carried the Russian flag to signify the Russian team, owner and main sponsor. The Tinkoff name is displayed prominently on the jersey, bibshorts and gloves. For the Tour de France 2016 a special version of the kit had the La Datcha name down the side of the jersey to advertise the La Datcha venture of the owner, Oleg Tinkoff. A special training La Datcha kit was made up of a black and white lined pattern that had the La Datcha name written on a fluorescent background panel on the chest and back of the jersey. The bibshorts had the La Datcha D on the back and the lined pattern was continued on all aspects of the kit. The training kit was quite a unique design as was the hi vis aspects of the race kit. This made sure that the team stood out in the peloton.
