About the design
Team sunweb was formerly Team Giant Alpecin. For the 2017 season the jersey changed from black to white. The main Alpecin sponsor was replaced by Sunweb, whose name replaced the Alpecin logo on the chest of the jersey. The new design maintains the black sleeves and the coloured bands as design details but this season, the blue colour band is dropped.
The colour palette is still black, red and white. This colour palette is also used by other teams in the peloton.
The sponsors are still placed on the chest of the jersey at either side of the double stripe which still goes vertically down the front and back of the jerseys and jackets.
The white and red bands are continued on the legs of the bibshorts and bibtights which breaks up what would have been predominantly black bibshorts. Apart form Sunweb, which is rendered in red, the sponsors are rendered in white on the black background.
The team vehicles differ from the apparel in that they are still predominantly black.
