2017 was the first year that Castelli provided the kit for Team Sky after they seperated from previous kit manufacturer, Rapha. The kit still utilises the established black, light blue and white colour scheme.
For the 2018 Team Sky season the jersey has changed from black to white. The Sky logo is still rendered in white but now on a light blue panel that stretches across the chest of the jersey. The lined pattern denoting the teams wins and the duration of the race has been kept but is now rendered on this light panel and works better as it is more subtle.
Sponsors are still rendered on the upper chest and sleeves of the jersey but now in black on the white background.
On the rear of the jersey the riders name is now rendered across the shoulders more akin to a football jersey. The thin blue vertical line with the main sponsors rendered in white is still present and the line/victory pattern is rendered across the entire back of the jersey except the shoulder area.
Henri Lloyd will provide the outwear clothing for the 2018 Team Sky season. They have produced jackets and bottoms that are subtle and 'clean' in their design with the Team Sky logo shown in a minimalist way that keeps the apparel crisp and clean.
The 2018 Team Sky Tour de France special kit is called Ocean rescue. The kit is largely white with an orca design on the back with names and details in black on white or white on black. A nice design touch is the bubble detail around the orca.
