About the design
For the most part, the Team UAE Team Emirates kit for 2018 remained very similar to the 2017 edition. The main sponsors, from a design placement and influence point of view, stayed the same and the colour palette of white, red, green and black also remained.
The shoulders of the jersey were kept black in colour with the sponsors being rendered in white on this area. The collar and the sleeve ends kept the red bands for 2018. The First Bank of Abu Dhabi was added for 2018 with their logo being placed on the shoulder area. The side black panel used on the 2017 edition of the jersey was made white for the 2018 edition and the First Bank of Abu Dhabi name and logo was also replicated here.
THE UAE letters remained in prime position on the chest but the Fly Emirates logo that was underneath it was replaced with a Team Emirates logo instead. The sweeping red, green, white and black Emirates flag graphic remains on the lower part of the jersey. Fabio Aru's Italian Champion jersey's first iteration was deemed to have the Italian flag too low and small on the bottom of the jersey. As a result of this controversial design the second iteration made the UAE Team Emirates logo and lettering a little smaller and moved the Italian flag graphic up the jersey. The italian tricolor was also present as bands around the sleeve ends.
The bibshorts remain black with red bands on the leg ends and sponsors rendered in white.
