About the design
The Education First Pro Cycling team 2019 kit sees Rapha re-join the pro peloton after their partnership with Team Sky ended in 2017. Education First continues the use of bold pink, started in 2018, in their colour palette but adds blue. The jersey is based on a pattern that uses a pink, orange and blue gradient fade.
The bibshorts for this season change from black to dark blue. They have some nice design details including the gradient fade being replicated on the straps while there are two dark blue bands on the leg ends. The inside collar of the jersey and the sock has the argyle pattern the team has become known for rendered in pink. This is a very nice subtle design detail and a nod to the previous kits. The Education First training jersey is more subtle for 2019. It is a dark blue jersey with the main gradient design replicated in a band on one sleeve as per Rapha's design standard. The design details and names are rendered in pink against the dark blue background.
The t-shirts and caps mimic design details by way of a white t-shirt with pink and blue design details while a second t-shirt and the hats use the pink to blue gradient over the entire area of the tshirt and caps.
Education First used a plain black kit for the Australian and New Zealand Championships at the start of 2019. This jersey was plain black with a lighter shade of grey to render team name and sponsors against the black backgroiund.
This kit has some very nice design details and does a very good job of giving the sponsors maximum exposure.
