About the design
The 2020 edition of the Education First team kit is once again supplied by Rapha, who rejoined the pro peloton in 2019. The colour palette remains pink, dark blue and white. The somewhat psychadelic like design remains but for 2020 plays a little bit of a secondary background to the sweeping, repeating blue curved shaped dark blue shapes that adorn the bottom part of the jersey and the right hand sleeve. The white band with the Rapha name rended in pink remains on the left sleeve.
The bibshorts remain dark blue with the sponsors names and logos rendered in white against the dark blue background colour.
The blue jagged repeating shapes of blue are carried over onto the pink based gloves which gives a very interesting and different design detail to get the kit noticed in the peloton.
The USA champion jersey is made up of a blue background with both white and black stars on the sleeves, shoulders and upper chest of the jersey while the lower torso of the jersey is dominated by red and white vertical stripes. A nice design detail that provides a nod to the team's history is the argyle pattern on the inside of the collar.
All in Rapha have made some interesting and bold design choices that add interest and add some welcome design innovation to help move away from the standard colour blocks with nothing but sponsors names and logos.
