About the Design
The Astana - Premier Tech kit for the 2021 season is still based on the Kazakh aqua bue colour. The colour palette is completed with dark blue, white and yellow. The bibshorts are dark blue while the jersey fades to a dark blue bottom.
A squared pattern is added to the front, back and sleeves of the jersey. The squared pattern fades to opaque from bottom to top of the jersey. This is similar to the design detail concept used on the Bora Hansgrohe jersey for the past few seasons.
The sponsors are rendered in either dark blue or white, depending on the background colour at the location The main sponsors are rendered in the chest and upper part of the back of the jersey. The yellow bands of colour previously used on the sleeve and leg ends are dispensed with this season and replaced by a small design detail of a yellow line under the word Astana is utilised to round out the Kazakh national colour palette.
The two champion jerseys for the 2021 season are Spain and Kazahkstan. Both jerseys are white colour based with the respective country flag design detail across the chest front and back of the jerseys. The addition of the darker shade of blue really rounds out the colour palette and provides more depth as opposed to the kit designs that were predominantly only the aqua coloured shade.
