About the Design
The 2019 classification jerseys for the Tour Down Under in 2019 were once again supplied by Santini. The General classification jersey for the Tour Down Under is called the Ochre jersey, a shade of orange. The climbers polka dot jersey is white with blue spots. The sprinter points jersey is blue while the young rider jersey is white. The design of the jerseys is quite minimal with the sponsors logos and names rendered on the jerseys. The designs of the jerseys have not changed greatly from previous years but continue to do their main job of promoting sponsors. This year Santini produced a special kit to celebrate the event, a dark blue based kit with subtle watermarked leaves patterns that are a nod to Australia. Three sets of stripes, light blue, mid blue and white adorn the front and back of the jersey and act as a design detail on the gloves, cap and bibshorts. The initials of the Tour Down Under are rendered on the upper chest upside down as another design detail nod to Australia. A bike rider graphic and the Santini name are both also on the upper chest rendered in white.
