About the Mountain

The Passo Fedaia climb is located in the Dolomites range in Northern Italy. The Passo Fedaia is located at northern base of the Marmolada, which is the highest peak in Dolomites region.

The East side of the Passo Pedaia goes from Caprile to the summit located at 2054m. From the very start of the ascent the gradient goes up to double figures so there is no easy=ing in on the Fedaia. The climb has sections of 12% - 15% gradients with the last 5km ramping up to double digits in parts to as much as 15% giving a final sting in the tail.

Reaching the summit is rewarded with views of the beautiful Lago Fadeaia (Fedaia lake). The Passo Fedaia is an iconic climb and has been used in the Giro d'Italia several times. Marco Pantani attacke don the Fedaia and went on to win the Giro that year.

The Sottoguda gorge detour can be taken as it is a more peaceful, picturesque cycle with roads that are not open to cars.
